Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
Tank Crew is not just "Tank v. Tank". It has support vehicles, towed AT guns, artillery, AAA/Flak, APCs, aviation, etc. Also, individual men do dismount from vehicles and appear at or near crew served weapons. I agree it would be better if there was dedicated infantry, but it is still very immersive, and with VR...My God...its amazing.

Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
I agree with Geoweb35.At $ 70.00 the price seems steep especially since IL2 Sturmovik is not an AAA title. In addition the company has been known to release games with lots of bugs and unfinished work. I guess I'll wait until it's on sale for Steam and all the kinks have been ironed out....
My advice to you guys is wait for the reviews, watch gameplay on YouTube once gamers get their hand son it and post it and read the reviews on Steam. Don't purchase an expensive turkey you might regret...

Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
I've not been impressed with the early access videos of this game on youtube. It's early days but in my opinion SF and SA Blaze of War are much higher fidelity. Arma 2 and 3 allow multi crew positions in the same tank and seem more satisfying than TC even though Arma is primarily an infantry sim with armor stuck on as extra.

Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
Unfortunately WW2 tank mods in Arma 2 and 3 (whether the i44 or IFL mods) do not satisfy me. The AI can spot you through forests and never seem to miss their shots or will act completely dumb. Also the hit point system really sucks and I have had my Panther killed in 2 to 3 shots at over 1000 metres by low velocity 75 mm guns.
Re TC I'll wait for the reviews and the actual gameplay on YouTube but yeah Tanker I agree with you that it could be another disappointment.

Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
According to the new videos content I've to confess that TC doesn't correspond to the true tanksim.
I just noted some flaws:
1. The tank movement looks somekind unnatural: too smooth and the tank itself looked like a galantine - its shaking too long.
2. Gunsight reticle doesn't look as a real one. I see that everybody keep always the distance mark at the position "0". No matter what tank they used.
3. There is no tanker inside the cockpit! It is a ghost who moved the levers and opened hatches. Where are the other crewmen??? Even ancient SF has a tankers inside the tank. I don't mention abt. infantry and atg's absence
PS
Who may explain me why I've to play for the cardboard T-34/76(T-70!?), if I've a choice to pick up the TIGER!

Re: Tank Crew – Clash at Prokhorovka
The distance setting of the gunsight reticle is operational. It depends on the level of realism chosen by the player.
