This is an interesting video. Observe how well the tanks are recreated , the sounds, recoil of the gun, engine noise etc are very good. Squad is a very tough, tactical FPS similar to Arma but a bit faster in pace and the AI is definitely better.

Re: Squad a WW2 FPS now has tanks
I see that turret rotation in SF is a way much faster than in "Squad".

I think Squad is more realistic. TBH I remember reading that the tiger's turret rotation was not very fast...

Re: Squad a WW2 FPS now has tanks
Tiger's turret rotation speed depended on the engine RPM and on the Tiger model. A highly discussed topic ! See for example here:

The problem I have always had with Arma is that the enemy ai can see and shoot me without me even being aware of where they are. They can target me in all sorts of cover, bushes, tall grass etc, and I can't see them.
I noticed swastikas on the map. I wonder if that will survive to production given the German law.

Re: Squad a WW2 FPS now has tanks
Did they mention if there will need to be a full tank crew in order to operate it?

For MP yes absolutely you 'll need to play with your chums. However in single player mode presumably you would play with the AI.
