This is excellent info! I wonder did Japan has APC for the infantry or they "cared" abt. infantry in the same manner as Soviet Union?

Lockie... I wonder did Japan has APC for the infantry or they "cared" abt. infantry in the same manner as Soviet Union?

That is a good question, but considering that the Japanese Army was fighting in jungle terrain for the most part of the war, their soldiers were mostly on foot.

But I'll search out some info on the subject though.

    And thank's Smile

    Seems like they had few.

Apparently APCs weren't the best interest for Japanese HQ until 1944. Total of around 1000 were produced. Hoha was later used as a garbage truck for Tokyo city post war Shocked

That's impressive! Obviously, all countries had a care how to carry out infantry to the battle field except USSR.
Soviet built more than 4000 swimming tank T-37/38, which didn't use in the WW2 and there were no any APC for the the infantry  confused

The funniest thing abt. T-38 was that this tank was organized as a recce unit... without radio Shocked

    PS
There is interesting logo on the red house(second picture): die arbeiten macht frei.

Soviets did have lend leased M3 half-trucks though. But yes, I guess not so much caring for poor infantry as they ride on T34s :/

I also read that most of those Japanese APCs were sunk while being transported to the front, but US subs.
