Movie The Man with the Iron Heart

A couple days ago I saw the movie "The Man with the Iron Heart"(Himmlers Hirn heisst Heydrich).

This is about Reinhard Heydrich (chief of Gestapo/SD) assassinated by Britain saboteurs in June 1942.


According to the rumors his murder was a stimulating incentive to uncover the Britain famous agent Wilhelm Canaris (chief of Abwehr).

As my point the movie is interesting, but it is not a masterpiece. I was impressed when I saw that SS officers had a grey uniform instead a black. I was sure all Gestapo/SS wore only black uniform.

OK Canaris was not a British agent, he was a loyal German but he was anti Nazi and probably helped the July 1944 officers who tried killing Hitler with intelligence.

Heydrich was killed by Czech soldiers serving in the British army in a special unit which was the precursor of the SAS. He was one of the artisans of the extermination of European Jews . I recommend watching the excellent British film the Wannsee Conference . Heydrich is played by Kenneth Brannagh.
