This is a painting "Distribution of food" by Ivan Aivazovsky, created in 1892. It was dedicated on American help to the starving Russian peasants. The US star-striped flag and the begging hungry peasants are clearly visible on the canvas.

It was a hard times for the Russia and US helped to survive. The same situation happened in the USSR in 1921-22, then at the end of 1960 and starting 1990 years. USA is always ready to give a help.

This is a Combat Brotherhood between German and Soviet soldiers, Brest, 1939. There is a Polish prisoners of war in the left part of the photo, who were lately handed over to the USSR, were most of them were executed in Katyn.

I like the Mosin Nagant Sawn-off Rifle ("Obrez") used in the movie. Sort of a copy of the Steve McQueen TV series "Wanted, Dead or Alive" rifle. Steve McQueen's rifle was called the "The Mare's Leg".
