    On May 12, 1945...

Just for the record, it seems that the very best method to pull a stuck Soviet Army, T-34/85 tank out of a mud hole is with an American made, Lend-lease M-4 Sherman tank. Wink

I would not get in between those two tanks.  If the cable snaps, there goes your head.

They had a large audience of Americans.

Fully agree, I'd be away from any where near that cable... I like my head, limbs and the rest of me just fine the way they are, even though a bit problematic at my age now. LoL Laughing

Yes, must be a end of WWII mud bog race in between the allies ... notice the Soviet commander in the Sherman turret though, judging by his head cover.

Maybe most of you have seen this video clip of a StuG III being pulled from a swamp, but thought that the original condition with tools and other items and paint scheme was fairly interesting with this StuG III.

Also a decent engine sound track in this video from a restored StuG III.

It is amazing that the StuG III came out so easy.

Back in 69 if my memory banks are still sparking, a couple of buddies and I sank a 64 Ford convertible in the mud, when we pulled over to let another car go by on a dirt road in the spring time. It was more than fortunate at the time, that we had two jacks in the trunk as we had to jack the car up slowly and kept placing flat stones from a near by stonewall under the tires and while still jacked up in the front and back of the car, finally we were able to pushed it over into a less muddy area.

Needless to say, once we were out about two hours later, we made packy run for case of beer. LoL Laughing

LoL... even an old Ford 9N tractor would have made life a whole lot easier that day! Laughing
