That's it Folks. I just arrived in Tokyo, Japan where I will spend the next 4 years of my life. I hope to have the opportunity to explore some WW2 battlefields ( Iwo Jima and Okinawa). I also will try to link up with the Japanese Steel Fury Community. Covid 19 is hittign the countyr pretty bad here with 200 000 cases a day. I am fully vaccinated and I have txhe Covid so I ain't worried but it may limit my contacts and travels.

Wow, that's a surprise. Didn't know you were headed there. I spent 2 months in Japan 5 years ago, before all this mess.
CCP missiles, next door to Crazy Kim and covid 19. Triple threat. At least mask wearing there isn't freighted with political overtones.

I will my friend, I will tell you guys all about it. ON a happy note Japan has accepted a few hundred Ukrainian refugees for resettlement in Japan. This is unprecedented for Japan which has no immigration nor a refugee program in place. Ukrainian refugees are given a work permit ans some financial assistance, language classes , medical care etc. The Japanese public reaction has been very positive and the Japanese government is looking in partnership with the UNHCR at resettling a few thousand Ukrainian refugees in the next few years. Bravo Japan and Glory to the Ukraine!
