I'm confused by your question frinik... isn't everyday that we are able to wakeup and stand, a very good reason to celebrate! Wink

My wife would differ with you over the percentage rate, she would give me right around 99.9 % rate of being wrong! Laughing

It must have been quite the "Clambake" at the embassy. Cool

Working at the Canadian Embassy. I am a Foreign Service Officer with 29 years of service and 12 overseas posting. Looking forward to retirement in 4 years and settling down somewhere without having to move every 3 to 4 years.

I knew you were in the Foreign Service but didn't know if you were still active. 33 years, that's a full career. Will you settle some place warm when you retire or is it back to Canada?

No. No freezing my butts 7 months a year with unending winters followed by 2 months of sweltering heat, no spring nor autumn to speak of. I will retire and take my family to Panama, enjoy decent weather, a peaceful country with the US dollar. I speak the language , know the culture and I have lots of friends living there.

     |I have 2 young sons (12 and 14) still in school so no choice but to work as long as I can to maintain my family in a comfortable lifestyle. Looking forward to that! Can spend more time gaming and travelling for my pleasure for a change.

We live in New Hampshire. It's about 50 minutes by car from Boston. We live in a small town. We have deer, bear, turkey and moose visit from time to time. But the weather is similar to Canada since we are so close. My wife is from Spain so needless to say, she is not that enthusiastic about winter.

Hahahaha I can imagine! New Hampshire is a lovely place, quiet, bucolic , full of forests, very scenic. You are not that far from our friend Woofie who lives in Massachusetts I believe. \Where in Spain is your wife from? Our friend Txema is from the Basque country.

Woolfie and I are practically neighbors.
My wife is from Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia. That is south of Seville, fairly close to Gibralter. Semi tropical climate with sublime spring time weather and quite hot but generally not humid summers.

Agree, NH is a beautiful state, especially the White Mt's and the lakes regions.

Yes, NH is just a couple of towns over from me.

Never been to Jerez de la Frontera. Only to Malaga.

Massachusetts is also very pleasant and scenic and nice beaches as well.
