    Monitor questions Empty Monitor questions

Post by Tanker Thu May 03, 2018 5:56 am

I need a new monitor. I am replacing a 23", 1920x1080 screen. Will a larger screen, like a 28" or a 32" with the same 1920/1080 res look more blocky or less sharp than the smaller one? I know that the spacing between pixels will be greater in the larger screen but I am not sure if that will be a problem. Does anyone have any opinions on this or any other considerations about getting a bigger monitor?

From what I read a 27 " one would be good for you and there's little difference pixel-wise with a smaller one. More important you should look for one with G Sync if you have an Nvidia gpu of Free Sync for AMD. This alone will improve the visual quality of your games tremendously. More than 27 "is too wide unless you opt for a curved display screen.

I've monitor Samsung C27F591 with a curved screen and aspect ratio is 16:9. It looks marvelous! But I've to note that aspect 16:9 is obsolete. So, if u want a new monitor then think abt. monitor with a curved screen and aspect 21:9.

Whup!  Too late, lol.  I bought a nice 27" 16:9 for $169 USD.  It's very nice and I'm back in business.
    Thanks for the input fellows.
