Light tank T-50

T-50 was light tank and intended to replace the numerous T-26. There were produced 69 pcs. Mostly, because of the very deficit engine V-4, which went directly for T-34 production.
Only tanks with vehicle engine had a life: T-60, T-70 and SU-76.
Would be nice to have such tank in SF, but the small quantity and a very narrowed area of using (only near Leningrad) makes appearance of this tank with a very doubtful value.

A couple of sites that has info concerning the captured Soviet BT-5, BT-7 and T-50 tanks that were used by the Finnish Army. The T-50 they capture was used as a command vehicle during the war, right up until 44 when the engine blew and they could not repair it.

Seems that the old T-50 was a diesel guzzler and used 9.9 gallons of diesel per hour. Better make sure there is a gas station about every 50 miles or so for a run out to the beach. And I thought my old 1969 Mercury Marquis wagon with a 390 V8 was bad! LoL

Why not have it?We have tanks in SF which never saw combat like the JS-3, or T-44 or were never produced like the Panther Ausf F. Others like the Elefant and the Jagtiger were produced in small numbers. Even the T34-57 was produced in minutes quantities: 42 in total ....

T-50 is a light tank. It does: one shot and game over.
All other mentioned by u tanks has a good armor and weapon. Also, can u tell me how many missions there were devoted to the light tanks?
If I say 5-6, then it'd not be exaggerated. I can see T-50 only in the role as a sacrifice unit to get more frags during mission
As it appeared, there were only 45 pcs equipped with weapon, all other were abandoned. This tank will be for the very very very long perspective    I'd rather prefer to get Pz.III L/M, which is a very reasonable and highly awaited unit.

Sorry to contradict you Lockie but youseem to be forgetting a lot of mission featuring light tanks: Kyth's campaign with the Panzer 38t it's a light tank( 10 missions). Not to mention Deviator's Ylla map missions with the same tank, the T-26,T-70,  Kyth's missions with the Bt-7( another light tank), the stock missions with the T-38 , 4 with the T-60, the Panzer II( including trophy tank), one of yours with the Luchs(another light tank), in Mission Pack 3.1 you have Panzer IF ( baby tiger) Panzer II, Ba-10, Ba-64, Bt-5.Not to mention the single missions and others in the GMP 1 and 2.

I am not even counting the apcs nor the Puma or Skfz 232. Just like that I can easily count 30 missions with light tanks.

You can easily make missions pitting the T-50 against the Pz II, Pz III ausf. J , the Panzer I F, the panzer 38t or some other light German tank. Not saying we absolutely need the T-50 just saying that a case can be made to have it in SF.

Yes, I've forgotten abt missions with Pz.38(t) It's a good sample with light tanks. But hey, do u know how many Pz.38(t) were built? I'm sure more than 50
Anyway, I see er arguments and missions with light tanks are more than 5-6.
But what the stock mission with T-38? I don't remember.

I agree with lockie on this, the Pz III L is way higher in my priorities list - and hey, add the Pz III N Schuertzen to it and you have the Pz III M - two in one special!

Only thing is that 2 skins would probably be needed as it saw action in the last days of the Panzergrau scheme and the first days of the Dunkelgelb one.

The single mission with the T-38 is in the single missions menu. It's old may be 2010.

I didn't say we need to build the TY-50 or neglect other more important tanks, I just said a case can be made to have it in SF.

Higher on my own list are the Jagdpanther IV with the L48 and the StuH42 with the 105 mm gun.
